[Houston, Texas, USA] A non-profit international arts and education organization. Its purpose is to create an international forum in March and April for the exchange of photography and ideas and to promote public appreciation of this art.

[Hereford, UK] Annual festival with around 20 photographers exibiting in various buildings around the city, in late summer.

[Perpignan, France] The International Photojournalism Festival of Perpignan takes place in September over 2 weeks, the first week for the press and the second for the public. The Visa d'Or is awarded for outstanding work, as well as other prizes for young photojournalists, women photojournalists, and humanitarian reporting.

[Arles, France] International annual July event featuring screenings, workshops, and awards, including the Publishing Assistance Grant, and Photographer of the Year. Flash site, English and French.

[Groningen, Netherlands] International Photofestival featuring many exhibitions which takes place in September-October.

[New York, USA] Yearly 4 day October event with 100 hand-picked students along with 100 photojournalism veterans meeting in New York state.

[Naarden, Netherlands] A bi-annual event focussing the Dutch and international photography, held in June.

[Luxembourg] The International Nature Photo Festival features talks, exhibitions and seminars, and is held in March.

[Lodz, Poland] The International Festival of Photography in Lodz takes place in May, and features exhibitions, lectures, workshops, meetings with authors, movie projections, and slide-shows. Flash Site.
