Founded in 1979 after Smith's death, the fund seeks to further the aims of humanistic photography.
The Award is an international grant for 30 000 euros, for a reportage photography project that would otherwise be difficult to achieve. Applicants are nominated by museums, publishers, and galleries, and are generally well-established.
Major grants to many disciplines, including photography. The Foundation only supports individuals, and has in the past supported mature photographers such as Gilles Peress, Eugene Smith and Diane Arbus.
Founded by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, 3P aims to help a photographer undertake a major project by giving financial support over 6 months to a year.
Dedicated to helping professional and student photographers produce photographs that promote world peace and cultural understanding.
