EUROLAT is an information network for surface processes involving chemical weathering. Lateritic weathering and tropical environments involve all geophysical and geochemical processes occurring at the interfaces atmosphere - biosphere - hydrosphere - lithosphere and include surficial mineral deposits, geochemical prospection, soil and clay mineral formation, land erosion, hydrology and paleoclimatology.
